Just One Thing Missing

We have the little room all ready, there is just one thing missing... the baby! We cant wait for him to get here. Its coming up fast with only 5 more weeks left. Luke is excited he can count the weeks left on one hand. But really.. who's keeping track...
My mama got us this car seat and stroller for us with the cover she made with the material i picked out.
I definitely feel spoiled by his grandmas! He has some cute cute outfits and blankets.

Gotta have the cowboy boots!

Love the cute Giraffes!

Thank you Gomez family. Isn't this the cutest!
PS. I am so thankful for Grandma and Nana for there contributions and support.

A Baby Moon Per Say?

So we took a little trip down to St. George the other weekend. The only time I took photos was during a little hike that we did. Luke ended up working more than we thought while we were down there but it was still nice and relaxing for me, what a nice warm break away from work!

While down there we went to the community pool, saw a "ghost town" and learned some history about the little cities around St. George, ate out to new places we have never been as well as did some shopping. Its so hard not to buy all the cute baby stuff! But I managed, what a business that must be to have your clients be mamas!

PS. So thankful for a getaway, thanks to some of the Smith's friends!

The Nesting Has Begun

We got the crib all set up, bought the bumper and finally got some cute sheets in the mail today. We can't wait to add the final piece, a cute baby boy! Just 3 more months!

My handy man setting up the crib

Crib is all set up with the mattress

Added the bumper and the cute sheet!

I just love the cute little giraffes! I surprised my mom and got a cross stitching kit. It is a bib I am cross stitching a little noahs ark on. I will have to post the finished product. I have to keep my hands busy so that time goes by faster!

Ps. I am so thankful for a healthy baby boy on the way. I love to feel his little kicks and movements!

Our Baby Boy!

We had our ultrasound today and it was very exciting! We started at the head and found the organs but his little foot was covering the private parts. So we looked at the legs and feet, found the spine and brain and went back to see if it was a boy or girl. The nurse said "Ok, this is like you are looking through a glass table as they are sitting on it, here is the butt....." I could see some little boy parts and said its a boy! Luke said, "Its...a boy. Its a boy!" My mom along with Steve and Taffy were there with us during the ultrasound. Here are some fun pictures from our ultrasound. I think it just hit me that Im actually having a baby. I can now start buying things along with the grandmas, (I can't believe my mom will be a grandma!)

"I'm a boy!"

The foot seems like it is so big, must be a Smith boy! You can see the little round tummy in the background as well.

Here is the arm and you can see the hand.

Here are both the arms and hand, he was holding them under his chin.

We are very excited and cant wait to have the little guy here!

Ps. We are so thankful that the baby is healthy and everything is going well! What a RELIEF!

Christmas & New Years

We had a good busy Christmas, we opened our presents to each out at our house, went to church, headed to Luke's parents for a brunch and opened presents with them and then headed down to my parents for dinner and opening more presents!

For New Years eve we went down to my familys and rung in the new year.

Dexter was a little scared of all the noise going on, and you can see why with this picture of my brothers!
Here is a little reflection of the past year,

This year will be a big life changer, ready or not here comes a baby!
We hope your year was as good as ours! Here is to another great year.
Happy 2012!

Ps. We are so grateful for close family that we can spend the holidays with.

A New Addition

Today we had our first appointment with the Midwife. She was very nice and open to explaining everything as well as answering our questions. She put the doppler on my stomach for a couple of minutes but we couldn't find the heart beat. That worried us a little bit but she brought out the ultrasound and we got to see the baby. We saw the heart beating and the baby was putting on a show, kicking around and waving its arms. It was really reassuring to see that the baby was healthy and well. At our next appointment we will probably be able to actually hear the heart beat and then after that we will be able to find out the gender! We are pretty excited!

On another note we had a very good Thanksgiving with Luke's family. As well as the next day I got to see my grandma and great grandma that went to my family's for the holiday.

P.S. I am very thankful for the opportunity to be come a mama, and Luke is thankful and VERY excited to be a daddy.

Our Halloween (better late then never.. right?)

Our Halloween contained pumpkin carving, company party, walking around with the kids while they trick or treated, and watching the Ichabod Crane cartoon.

We also had fun with Luke's parents one night at Cornbellys walking through the corn maze and riding the hayride.

Ps. I am thankful for good health.
